Mrs. Michelle and I took the kids to the museum this morning in honor of Museum Day! The Smithsonian has a free museum day each year. Well, we thought we would take them to the Discovery Museum since they are a Smithsonian Affiliate. We got in on the tickets then the "nice" young lady came and told us that they were not participating this year so we had to pay or leave..... well you know what we did.... WE LEFT! It worked out so good. We took the kids down to the History Museum (they were participating).
It turned out to be the best thing that happened all day. The History Museum had toys of yesteryear. There was this wonderful woman who had the kids outside and in an old home to show them toys that children played with in the 1800s. It was fantastic. She kept their attention. They loved it.
They played with stilts, marbles, had sack races, pony races, played draft, and oh so much more. 
Mrs. Michelle even got in on the action. The boys just could not play jacks like she could.
