This was my favorite day in such a long time. Hayden had asked about going to the zoo because we had not been in a long time so being that I love to hang out with my kiddo and just have him to myself from time to time, we went to the zoo all morning and into the afternoon. It was fantastic.
We got to take our time and just walk, talk and learn. Hayden loves animals and being there and talking about them was perfect.
We saw all kinds of animals, we had a picnic, and last but not least we enjoyed a funnel cake. (not exactly a Weight Watchers kind of snack and I DID try to let him eat it all but....well you know).
Hayden rode a camel. The gentleman handling the camels was so impressed with Hayden's patience (yes I know shocking to say the least) and his comments about the camels that he left him ride the camel around the arena twice instead of just once. And guess what? My precious little guy remembered to say thank you and have a great day! Precious, I am telling you, just precious.
Hayden, this was a perfect day for me. I love you so much and just getting to hang out with you and see the kind of young fella you are becoming is a time I will cherish ALWAYS.
