What a Weekend!

What a great weekend we all had. There were lots of times and things to celebrate. We enjoyed lots of family time which is just so awesome. Here are just a few of the times spent together.
Hayden was on the All A Honor Roll at school. Isn't he the cutest with his shades on his head on the stage? We are so proud of his accomplishment of having made all A's! Keep up the good work my little friend.
Hayden checking out his ribbon for All A's!
Looks a bit like he is nudging Sequon here. Wonder what those two had up their sleeves? We probably do NOT want to know.

Hayden and Emmanuel coming into the cafeteria for the awards ceremony. Can you tell which one automatically poses when he sees a camera? :-)

Later that evening, we went trick or treating before heading off to Poppaw and Mommaw's for the weekend. Hayden usually trick or treats with his cousins but this year there were a couple of special places he wished to go and neither one was in Conway.....
Our little pirate on his way up to the first special place he wanted to go......
I think Mrs. Faith may have been surprised to see the handsome pirate.....Hayden loved the Halloween treat bag...it was filled with wonderful toys and not candy.....
He told Mrs. Faith that he was going to take it to his Poppaw and Mommaw's house so he could aggravate them. She told him she sure liked the use of that word..... He "forgot" to take it though....maybe with a little help from his Mom. Next, we went to see Mrs. Parker. Hayden is ALWAYS so happy when he sees her. She is such an awesome teacher....After we finished Trick or Treating, we loaded up and headed to Poppaw and Mommaw's. It was late but we were ready to go. Hayden went to sleep on the way there and got a little bit of rest.
The next morning was the BIG day. It was Youth Hunt. Hayden was going Deer Hunting and he was so excited. He has been before but never on the first day of Youth Hunt.
Mommaw is so good to these boys. She got up and fixed breakfast for them. Hayden got up at 5 just like everyone else and got dressed and ready to go. (Good thing we were at Mommaw's, at my house they would have eaten cereal.......)Our little hunter......Back home with guess what......his first deer.... It was a spike. Yep, we will have the horns mounted on a placque for his room....While they were processing the deer, I took Hayden out to Mr. Dale's tractor and took some photos of him driving it. Ha, not really, just pretending.....Brrrmmm, brrrrmmmmmI loved every part of the weekend. But this was probably my most favorite part. Hayden and Mommaw spent a good deal of time on Saturday night working on puzzles together. They did word searches, played tic tac toe, Hayden did his first crossword, just all kinds of activities together. It was so fun to watch. Hayden does love his Mommaw so much but he is just so ALL boy that most of his time is spent with Poppaw....so watching him share all of this time with Mommaw was just precious to me. I love this picture of two of my very favorite people. When Hayden was first born, he bonded with Mommaw as much as he did with me and his Dad. She was here with us for many weeks after he was born (thank goodness). Can you not just see all the love in this picture? The next morning Hayden got up to go hit the woods again. This time it was with a little less get up and go and a bit more YAWNING. He still beat the big boys to the truck......
HeWhat a great weekend it was for all of us. Hayden had a great time. He slept for a good long time when we got home and in fact woke up and thought he had missed school on Monday. HA
Hope you all had a great weekend too!!!

Those are great pictures! A deer??? Wow, I am impressed! Ethan wouldn't know the first thing about hunting! Glad you had a great visit, I am sure your parents were so happy to see Hayden.
